Meet the Team

Michelle Bascetta
Psychotherapist
EMDR & Equine-Assisted Therapy
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Michelle supports women in reconnecting with their intuition and inner wisdom. Her approach invites you to explore your emotions, beliefs, body sensations, and spiritual journey. Evidence-based modalities are integrated with the healing insights of ancient wisdom, always honoring that you are the expert in your own life. Michelle’s role is to guide and support your process.
Sessions often include mind–body meditations and visualizations that you can practice between sessions. You will leave with a “toolbox” of skills to help reconnect with yourself during times of stress, with an emphasis on building supportive community and connection.
Michelle is trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a proven therapy that helps women process distressing experiences and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, panic, and trauma. EMDR supports not only healing but often a deeper sense of clarity and purpose. Learn more at https://www.emdria.org/about-emdr-therapy/.
She is also a trained Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist (EAP) and works in partnership with Liz Caplan, Equine Specialist, at All The King's Horses Mustang Rescue. In these sessions, you will work alongside horses to build connection in a safe and supportive environment. Both you and the horse have full autonomy to engage or take space as needed, while Michelle and Liz support regulation, boundaries, and attunement. Individualized treatment plans are developed to help you and the horse find healing that carries into your everyday life. Learn more about the rescue at https://allthekingshorsesequinerescue.com/.
